Description

The CCT will acquire approximately 5-acres of property and associated riparian habitat on the lower Omak Creek. The property is situated on the Colville Reservation, near the mouth of Omak Creek. The property includes creek frontage on both sides (left and right bank) and is contiguous to the land parcel purchased in 2002. This cost-shared acquisition will secure critical steelhead habitat and may increase the availability of critical water flows through water conservation measures and Best Management Practices.

Project Benefit

Contributes to increased and sustainable steelhead populations by protecting riparian areas of the lower Omak Creek. The project is likely to increase the water table in a previously losing reach.
