Description

The FRM identified a unique 5.1 acre piece of property on Peshastin Creek in the Wenatchee basin that it has purchased through YN Land Enterprises. The property has: 1) Mid-Columbia office space; 2) housing for temporary fisheries technicians; 3) riparian protection and enhancement and 4) coho egg incubation and possibly land to build a coho acclimation pond. The property located at 7051 Highway 97 and meets the criteria for funds appropriated to the YN under the Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery (PCSR). The property was listed for $254,900 but an agreement was reached to buy the property for $248,000. This contract supplemented 2002-4-01in the purchase of the land. The closing was September 18th, 2004. A Conditional Use Permit was necessary to occupy the property due to the Chelan County zoning regs and therefore applied for. It was obtained after a public hearing on September 27, 2004.
