Description

This project will complete the State Water Resources Control Boards California Environmental Flows Framework to provide a comprehensive assessment of water management goals and implications for the LA River through an integrated, cross-disciplinary process: rigorously characterize the flows needed to support the natural ecology and biodiversity of the river; integrate stakeholder-driven priorities of other management goals, leading to future comprehensive implementation scenarios and a recommended for flow regime for the river that optimizes tradeoffs. Project goals: Complete the CEFF process leading to comprehensive flow recommendations for the LA River. Attain full support of the recommendations from key agencies and stakeholders.

Project Benefit

Environmental flow recommendations will support steelhead migration in the LA River and Arroyo Seco watersheds.
