The project will implement the preferred alternative from the 2021 FRGP funded Chamberlain Creek Coho Passage Design Project (CDFW Agreement #Q2010525). This single, poorly-installed and aging road-stream crossing has been identified as a temporal adult barrier and a total juvenile barrier at low flow conditions on Chamberlain Creek, a tributary to North Fork Big River. This project implementation proposal is necessary for the removal of a current fish migration barrier and subsequent road-stream crossing culvert replacement to allow for unimpeded salmonid migration to approximately 1.6mi of prime anadromous habitat in Chamberlain Creek, as well as, stabilization of the downstream slope instability.
