Description

This project installed riparian fencing; placed boulders instream; placed large wood instream; planted conifer and hardwood trees in the riparian area; planted riparian vegetation; reconnected side channels to the stream, or improved access to side channels.

Project Benefit

OWRI: decrease erosion/stream sedimentation; improve/increase stream gravel recruitment; improve/increase stream interaction with floodplain; improve/increase stream pools; improve/increase stream rearing habitat; improve/increase stream spawning habitat; improve/increase stream structure & complexity; increase future stream shading/increase vegetation to provide shade; increase streambank stabilization/protection;
