Description

The objective of this project phase was to produce final design and final design deliverables for future fish passage restoration at two fish barrier crossings that will meet RCO Manual 18 final design deliverables and WDFW stream crossing design standards. We/the sponsor completed this objective, and completed the following tasks: quarterly workgroup meetings with project team; design alternatives development; preferred alternative selection; 30%, 60%, and 90% design reviews; site visits; survey, reporting, and compliance. Sponsor organized and facilitated coordination and regular workgroup meetings with engineer and provided updates to North Pacific Coast Lead Entity Group, WDFW, Quileute Tribe staff, and landowner to complete project deliverables.

Project Benefit

The goal of this project is to develop designs to reconnect and restore access to increased spawning and rearing habitat for coho, winter steelhead, and trout in the Wisen Creek Watershed. The desired future condition is road/stream crossing infrastructure for two private road stream crossings that allow fish passage per WDFW standards.
