Description    


The project was a design only project to address fish passage through a tide gate located under Oneida Road adjacent to Deep River in Wahkiakum County. The RCO requested that the project include consideration for two adjacent tide gates including one managed by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and another managed by the Columbia Land Trust.

Project Benefit    


The projects goal is to evaluate a tide gate and work through the design process outlined in the RCO handbook to design and permit a project will improve fish passage through the crossing and restore connectivity to lower Deep River. The desired future conditions is a fish friendly structure with improved connectivity.
