Description
Pacific Coast Salmon Coalition has created final designs, adding onto the preliminary designs already complete, and offer evolving methods to restore the fishway at Morganroth Springs Pond. The methods could involve volunteer labor, paid labor and/or bought/donated materials. Currently funds are being sought for implementation.
Project Benefit
Remove the failing, man-made fishway structure to restore natural fish passage and wetland conditions for coho adults and juvenile rearing. The goal is to place beaver dam analog structures to maintain pools and wetland, install large wood, and restore wetland and riparian plants for increased habitat function.
