Description

This project resulted in 150 Post Assisted Log Structures being installed and then in the summer of 2024 we increased the number of logs in 10 structures by 3 or 4 pieces. The addition of wood on 10 structures resulted in more wood and larger structures.
We estimate that at least 130 pools were formed and at least 450 pieces of wood were installed.

Project Benefit

Improve habitat diversity in Alpowa Creek. This will be achieved by installing PALS. PALS will increase instream complexity with additional woody debris and pool habitat for all live stages of steelhead.
