Description

This project is the construction of 32 LW features containing a total of 97 pieces of LW. Logs for the project will be redwood and Douglas fir sourced from the riparian zone. The project is along 1.03 miles of Piercy Creek, and once complete will contain 38 key pieces. This project will provide habitat to Coho, Chinook, and steelhead. Additionally, 200 conifer seedlings will be planted in disturbed areas along the project reach.

Project Benefit

This project will benefit salmonids by increasing the availability of winter velocity refugia, increasing instream shelter, increasing off-channel habitat availability, and by improving spawning substrate availability.
