Description

WSPs Yr. 31 program began on October 1, 2024 and aimed to engage 44 WSP Corpsmembers (CMs) throughout coastal California to enhance anadromous watersheds through restoration, community education and outreach, recruiting volunteers for hands-on restoration projects, and professionally developing the next generation of environmental professionals.

FY20 funds were spent within the award window.

Project Benefit

Besides the already listed deliverables and objectives of conducting vital watershed recovery, recruiting local volunteers to assist with salmonid habitat restoration, and educating students and the public about coastal watersheds throughout California, WSP is providing the opportunity for fisheries professionals to pass on their expertise to the next generation of natural resource professionals and gain the opportunity to increase their organizations capacity to improve salmonid habit.
