Description
This project funded the purchase 200,000 coded-wire tags (CWT’s) for tagging brood year 2022 Tulalip Hatchery summer Chinook in 2023. The monitoring component (tag recovery) was done under the stock assessment proposal and other funding sources not requested here.
Project Benefit
CWT information will ultimately to be used to determine exploitation and harvest rates for natural- and hatchery-origin fish and compare those to other brood years to evaluate how effectively the program is providing terminal area harvest benefits.
