Description

Cameras were placed on the Ventura River to determine migration timing and abundance. A PIT array was operated in conjunction along the river. Redd surveys in the watershed were conducted to determine adult steelhead spawn timing, spatial structure, and to compare detection rates.

Project Benefit

Obtaining steelhead population data in this watershed is a crucial component of adopting appropriate management strategies, as described in NMFS recovery plan.
