Description
Implementation consisted of the installation of 17 instream features, made up of a total of 51 pieces of large wood. Mulching of disturbed riparian areas and planting of 200 Sequoia sempervirens seedlings and other native plants occurred in the winter of 2019 and were intended to restore damaged riparian vegetation, provide additional shade for the stream, and establish wood for future recruitment.
Project Benefit
The addition of these structures will enhance spawning and rearing habitats and increase the quality and quantity of rearing habitat
within the project reach. Planting will promote riparian vegetation, provide additional shade for the stream, establish wood for future recruitment.
