Description
The project will implement a design funded by a previous FRGP project to completely remove a concrete and metal dam and fish ladder. Doing so will make available 3.5 miles of upstream habitat while creating 250 feet of side channel habitat for winter rearing habitat-a major limiting factor for coho survival in the watershed. It will eliminate annual fish stranding and mortality, and allow for year-round upstream and downstream migration for all life stages of endangered coho and steelhead.
Project Benefit
Removal of the dam will provide access to 3.5 miles of upstream habitat.
