Description

The project included:

1) Installation of 50,000 gallons of domestic water storage

2) Forbearance Agreement with participating landowner that restricts water diversions in the driest months

3) Protect anadromous species from injury by properly screening diversion associated with the

project.

The project installed storage tanks on one property referred to as the ?Richter? property. A Forbearance Agreement was implemented on this property which had existing diversions operating under legal water rights but with no seasonal restrictions or bypass flow requirements. The project imposes a ?no-pump? season, along with seasonal pumping restrictions in spring and fall?including bypass flow requirements and assigned pumping days. Additionally the project upgraded the existing submersible pumps with fish screens

that comply with CDFW criteria.

Project Benefit

Increased summer stream flows will improve water quantity/quantity and increase cover for Coho.
