Description    


Fourteen log structures constructed in 0.42 miles of San Gregorio Creek, similar overall to grant agreement. One extra log structure implemented downstream of Feature #1, making 15 total log structures constructed. Extra wood was gathered on site and use of large LWD and rootwads was primary. Use of on site redwood, and conifer LWD. Anchoring done by rebar to boulder, log to log, bracket to log/rock, and/or unachored LWD.

Project Benefit    


LWD installation would increase water quality, fish passage, and spawning habitat while reducing sediment loads and riparian disfunction. Increase shelter and cover along reach for juveniles and adults. Increase pool frequency for rearing salmonids.
