Description

The continued operation of a Life Cycle Monitoring (LCM) program on Topanga Creek for steelhead, including the operation of a DIDSON unit, PIT tag array, and redd surveys.

Project Benefit

This monitoring provides indicators of fish stock viability known as the Viable Salmonid Population (VSP) characteristics (abundance and productivity). Use of the DIDSON allows a census of ocean-run fish (steelhead) entering the creek during the adult migration period (abundance and productivity).
