Description    


The project replaced an existing dilapidated wooden bridge sitting on top of a damaged concrete low flow crossing with a 54-foot prefabricated concrete bottomless-arched culvert (bridge) with two rock weirs and 1 rootwad for grade control. The total length of stream that was treated is 0.04 miles, which includes the removal of one dilapidated bridge and replacing it with a 54-foot prefabricated bottomless-arched culvert.

Project Benefit    


This project will help maintain instream flows within Quiota Creek, open upstream habitat for all size classes of steelhead/rainbow trout, and improve riparian cover and creek functionality. Remediating Crossing 8 would allow all size classes of O. mykiss upstream access to the remaining perennial reaches of the creek. The new bridge at Crossing 8 will provide complete juvenile and adult passage throughout the determined range of fish passage flows of 1-148 cfs.
