Description

Grantee removed one partial barrier/blockage (abandoned road crossing consisting of a log stringer bridge) providing 4.5 miles of access for salmonids treated 0.04 miles of instream habitat, installed 4 instream features with an expectation of creating 3 pools. Removal of the barrier allowed streambank stabilization using rocks to attain a natural slope. Sequoia sempervirens were planted within 0.07 acres or riparian habitat along Panther Creek.

Project Benefit

Successful removal of this barrier will allow year-round access for all life stages of coho salmon and other salmonids to approximately 4.5 miles of instream habitat.
