Using 228 pieces of LWD, 57 individual habitat features were constructed along a 1.85-mile reach of the mainstem of Soldier Creek. This wood loading density equates to 124 pieces per mile.
Project Benefit
This task will address forest legacy impacts by improving the instream habitat that was severely disturbed from historic logging operations. Install Large woody material, boulders, and other instream features to increase habitat complexity and improve pool frequency and depth by installing 200 key pieces of wood in Soldier Creek.
