Description    


Grantee decommissioned approximately 1.6 miles of road to reduce threats of episodic inputs of sediment from larger road failures during large magnitude storms and floods. Prescribed treatments hydrologically disconnected road surfaces from the adjacent watercourse, prevented fill failures, stream crossing washouts and stream diversions. As a result, further degradation of water quality and salmonid habitat has been reduced. The project was implemented as stated in the road log that was included with the original proposal. No changes were needed in the field during implementation.

Project Benefit    


This project will address legacy impact created by sediment discharge from old forest roads. Abandonment and stabilization of watercourse crossings with high sediment delivery risk will result in approximately 2,000 cubic yards of potential sediment from being delivered to Inman Creek and will improve instream habitat conditions for spawning and rearing salmonids.
