OSC 3% Admin Allowance and Match PCSRF 2020

The Office of Species Conservation staff administered the PCSRF 2020 grant to meet NOAA administrative requirements in a cost effective and efficient manner for 20 projects allocated funds from FY20. Of these, one was terminated, thirteen were completed, and six were projects from other fund years that received FY20 funds. All FY20 funds were spent out within the grant life cycle.

Tasks completed under this project included:

1) coordination and support to the Idaho PCSRF Board (Board) to select projects through a Request for Proposals process (Round) to enhance the quantity and quality of salmon and steelhead habitats. FY20 funds were allocated in four of five Rounds that were held during this grant period.

2) Coordination, administration, and oversite activities necessary to ensure that the PCSRF sub-grantees approved by the Idaho Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund Board provided project information as required, including progress and final reports, invoicing with appropriate documentation, and the participation necessary to meet NOAA Fisheries PCSRF requirements and objectives.

3) Coordination and communication with NOAA to meet requirements and objectives for financial and progress reporting, reimbursement through ASAP, NOAA PCSRF Project database and grants online entry, and grant application, grant closure, and other requirements as assigned.

The Idaho Office of Species Conservation administration of the 2020 PCSRF funding will assure that projects are completed and the outcomes of those projects will benefit ESA listed species by improving and restoring habitat. Program management and monitoring of this grant will provide an indirect contribution towards recovery of Snake River Basin ESA fish species.
