Description

This project supported Hoh tribal participation in the coordination of watershed conservation and restoration efforts which involved regular engagement with watershed management, marine resources, and salmon recovery work groups, including WRIA 20 Watershed Management Implementation Body, Marine Resource Committee, the North Pacific Coast Lead Entity, the Washington Coast Sustainable Salmon Partnership, and the Pacific Coast Salmon Coalition. Involvement with these groups supported the establishment of instream flow and water quality guidelines, consideration of marine resource issues, coordination with the Hoh tribal government and support staff as it relates to salmon recovery endeavors. This funding also supported scoping and feasibility work to identify future restoration projects that will then require a need to explore funding sources to implement projects.

Project Benefit

This project provides resources to the tribe to participate in salmon recovery process to ensure tribal views are incorporated into decision making processes.
