Description

The project was implemented as a large wood restoration project in the mainstem Siletz River. One mile of river was treated over two years. Large wood was anchored using boulders without attachments and by burying root wads on full length trees.

Project Benefit

This project was implemented to benefit juvenile salmonids and larval Pacific lamprey during all seasons of the year. Adult salmon, steelhead and Pacific lamprey have been observed using the habitat created by the structures - for spawning beds and holding pools.
