Description
The current gravity intake is out of compliance with regulatory standards and allows entrainment of wild juvenile salmonids during times when river overflows the structure. Immediate action is required to address threats to populations in this system and increase population viability.
This project consisted of completing a feasibility and pre-design of a new intake at North Toutle Hatchery that complies with regulatory standards.The project was completed in January of 2012 with a final report from MWH (consultant).

The goal of the project is to upgrade the intake to protect and benefit listed salmon and steelhead
