Description
The objective of this project was to identify and describe projects that the Los Moiinos Mutual Water
Company (LMMWC) can implement to improve water use efficiency. The plan includes project-specific
information describing site-specific project components and associated costs and expected water savings. The plan includes an overview of LMMWCs northside service area (267 acres), a water balance analysis to quantify conservation opportunities and project descriptions.
Project Benefit
By improving water quantity there will be more upstream access for Coho and Steelhead during low flow periods.

5.8 Northern Sierra Nevada Diversity Group Recovery Actions
5.8.2 Mill Creek Recovery Actions
MIC 1.3: Develop and implement instream flow agreements with
Mill Creek diverters designed to provide flows that best
support the life stages of spring-run Chinook salmon and
steelhead that occur in the flow control reach (i.e.
downstream of Upper Diversion to the confluence with the
Sacramento River). The agreements can include
approaches such as groundwater exchange, water leases,
acquiring water rights and other water management options. |
