Description

The South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL) provided 164 total assemblies to 9,605 total students at 24 schools in the Sacramento Region in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 school year. The assembly program, which has been ongoing since the early 2000’s, is designed to teach children to understand the linkages between their personal actions to conserve water and the protection of salmon in their watershed. The program utilizes curriculum, audience participation, slides, hands-on demonstrations, and fun stories to keep students and teachers engaged.
