Description

Work started in July 2017 and a sewer line was found at the inlet of the culvert. Plans were modified to incoporate the sewer line because it could not be moved. Roughness elements originally planned were replaced with angled baffles. The culvert was modified and the roughened chute was constructed in 2017.

A trapezoidal channel with 18 baffles was constructed within the culvert crossing. A 49 foot long pool and a 58 foot long roughened rock chute were constructed immediately downstream of the culvert.

Project Benefit

Increase access to upstream habitat by retrofitting a fish passage barrier which will also include roughness elements and reduced velocities for juveniles.
