Description
The original South Fork River Riparian Habitat Improvement and Coho Rearing Habitat Project plan sought to complete 95% engineered design, planning and assessment, and seek permits for enhancement and restoration actions along 775 of severely eroded stream bank. Enhancement and restoration action plans and design were reduced to 200 from proposed 775 of severely eroded stream bank. Initial willow installation design was raised above the ordinary high water mark, deferring the need for ACOE permitting. Log jams and J baffles were also eliminated from the original design of the project.
Project Benefit
Planning, design, analysis and permit acquisition will facilitate in the subsequent implementation of the enhancement and restoration of a 200 section of severely eroded stream bank.
