Description
The Lower Redwood Creek Juvenile Salmonid Abundance Project provided results of downstream migrant trapping for 3 years and developed estimates of juvenile abundance for Chinook and coho salmon as well as steelhead and cutthroat trout. Data presented is from the Lower downstream migrant trap, only. The upper trap was not funded by this grant since coho salmon juveniles (the focus species in this funding cycle) are rare to absent in the upper river (worksite 7210568). Abundance monitoring was conducted for smolt/fry. Downstream migrant trapping at the Upper Redwood Creek site was removed from the project funding for this grant since coho salmon juveniles are rare to absent from this part of the river.
Project Benefit
Study abundance of coho, chinook, and steelhead in Redwood Creek for life cycle monitoring station.
