Description

Constructed of a low flow channel (fishway) within the bed of the existing concrete flood control channel. The low flow channel is approximately 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep. Resting areas were formed in the sidewalls of the low flow channel. The resting areas are 2.5 feet wide, 3.5 feet deep and 10 feet long, and are spaced approximately 40 feet apart. A total of 31 resting areas (pools) were constructed in the low flow channel. The low flow channel and resting areas were constructed using concrete (no cobble or large rocks). A total of 31 small notched concrete weirs (24 inches in height) were placed across the low flow channel between each resting area to provide water depth at low flows. 1 concrete flood control channel was constructed along 0.3 miles of stream. 3.6 miles of stream were made accessible. 31 fishway chutes/pools were installed.

Project Benefit
