Description

Bids were solicited for purchase and delivery of a modular office building with restroom facilities. Utilities and septic system installation was permitted through Tribal Planning Office, bids were solicited and a contract was awarded and completed for the septic system. Office building was installed and bids solicited for ADA compatible entry access construction. A Native American contractor was selected and construction was completed October 31. The new office is a used modular building with 2 offices, an ADA bathroom and central meeting space. The addition of indoor plumbing and warm (and cool) space to meet, work and relax have proved to increase staff productivity and effectiveness.

Project Benefit

These nursery improvements will benefit threatened summer steelhead, threatened Bull trout and reintroduced Chinook and Coho salmon through reduced costs and increased availability of healthy and vigorous native plant materials used in habitat restoration projects by the CTUIR and conservation partners.
