Description

The project assessed fish passage and habitat connectivity in all tributaries flowing into the Klamath River from Aikens Creek up the river to Seiad Creek. A working ArcView project with layouts, themes, tables and photos was used as a tool to facilitate development of fish passage restoration planning and implementation projects. Direct benifits to ESA listed species ranked the highest in the prioritization process.

Project Benefit

The project will expand the range of Southern Oregon/Northern California ESU coho salmon, Southern Oregon and Northern California Coastal ESU chinook salmon and Klamath Mountains Province ESU steelhead. The project will restore access to cold water thermal refugia in the water quality impiared Klamath River.
